This was an old three story Victorian built semi located in Chesterfield and it was a job that not only had me painting but fitting some new skirting board. It had been partially re-plastered requiring a mist coat, along with painting the walls ceiling, window, door and skirting.
Job Description
This customer had recently had two thirds of this room re-plastered. One of the walls was only part plastered and it had had the lining paper ripped off by the plasterers to get the job done. It also needed skirting board fitting on four walls of the room. I undertook fitting the new skirting and decided to blend the join in with the new plaster and old lining paper which didn’t cause a problem. The contrast between the dark alcove/beam and the rest of the newly painted room worked really well and gave a really modern feel to what is an older property. This room was to be used as an office so it turned out perfect for the purpose and the customer was delighted with the finished result.
